Query your cases from Claude — cited, read-only
Evidence Copilot speaks the Model Context Protocol, the connector standard AI apps use. Connect Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or Cursor and you can list your cases, search the evidence, and get answers with citations to the exact source moment — from inside your AI chat, with zero tokens to manage.

AI assistants are blind to your case files
Pasting transcripts into a chat one at a time is slow, unaccountable, and a confidentiality risk you can't audit. And an answer without a citation is worth nothing in this work — you'd have to re-verify every line anyway.
How it works
- 1
Paste the server URL
Add https://evidencecopilot.com/api/mcp as a connector in Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, or your MCP client.
- 2
Sign in once
The app opens a browser sign-in with an explicit consent screen. No API keys to copy or rotate.
- 3
Ask with citations
List cases, search evidence, read transcript windows, resolve citations that deep-link to the exact moment.
- 4
Stay in control
Every request is audit-logged. Disconnect any app any time in Settings — access dies immediately.
What you get
Read-only by design
The MCP surface is list, search, read, and cite. It cannot modify evidence, redact, export, or send anything.
OAuth 2.1 with PKCE
The same sign-in flow consumer apps use — rotating refresh tokens, revocable grants, scoped access (cases:read).
Your permissions, exactly
A connection sees only the cases its owner can access; cross-org access is denied even with a valid token.
Audit-logged calls
Every tool call is recorded with the app, credential, and outcome — the same trail as the workspace.
Built for
- Attorneys already living in Claude or ChatGPT
- Tech-forward firms standardizing on MCP
- Solo defenders who want case answers in one window
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to connect an AI app to my cases?
The connection is read-only, scoped to exactly your access, authenticated with OAuth sign-in (no long-lived keys), and every call is audit-logged. You can revoke any app instantly in Settings.
Which AI apps can connect?
Any MCP client: Claude Desktop, ChatGPT connectors, Claude Code, Cursor, Zed, and VS Code. Setup takes about a minute — paste the server URL and sign in.
Can the AI change or delete anything?
No. The external surface is read-only by design: list cases, search, read transcript windows, and resolve citations. Writes stay in the workspace behind human-review gates.
Do I need an API key?
No. Chat apps authenticate by signing in through the browser. There's a personal-token path for terminal users (Claude Code), but connectors don't need it.
